Seattle-based sales technology company Outreach has laid off 12% of its staff, or roughly 120 people, the company confirmed on Wednesday.
The cuts come after Outreach laid off 5% of its employees in August, after which Outreach had roughly 1,000 people remaining.
In a statement to the Business Journal, an Outreach spokesperson said the company made the decision Tuesday and is "moving certain limited business functions to Mexico City and India," adding that the company aims to be profitable next year.
"While this is an incredibly hard announcement for Outreach, we recognize it’s even harder for those who are no longer part of our team," the spokesperson said. "This decision was not made lightly. The overall economic environment has changed significantly over the last year."
Affected employees will receive severance, health care and job support. The company didn't say what roles were impacted, but the spokesperson said the changes were meant "to keep our costs in-line with a company of our size and stage."
In addition to the August layoffs, Outreach laid off roughly 70 employees in February. In August 2022, Outreach confirmed it had laid off "less than 5%" of its employees.
Outreach, founded in 2014, helps sales reps create playbooks, manage deals and analyze their sales pipelines. The company says it has more than 5,500 clients, including Zoom and DocuSign.
In June 2021, Outreach raised $200 million and reached a valuation of more than $4.4 billion. In October of that year, Outreach acquired Indianapolis-based revenue intelligence software company Canopy.io but didn't disclose the financial terms.
In addition to Seattle, Outreach has offices in Indianapolis, Atlanta, London and Prague.
