Ryan Polley, president and chief operating officer of Seattle-based Marchex Inc. (Nasdaq: MCHX), has left the sales and marketing tech company.

Marchex disclosed the move in a Tuesday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing noted Polley resigned on Aug. 31 "to pursue other career opportunities." Officially, his final day with the company is Sept. 30.

Marchex declined to comment beyond the filing.

Polley joined Marchex at the start of 2020, according to his LinkedIn page, before which he spent about four years at the advertising tech company Kargo. He is also a limited partner at Seattle-based venture capital firm Ascend.vc, his LinkedIn page shows.

Marchex, founded in 2003, helps clients understand what marketing efforts are generating more interest and what leads are the most valuable. The company also offers chatbots to handle customer inquiries and says it can reduce the time it takes to respond to potential customers. Marchex's clients include Meineke and General Motors.

In February, former private equity executive Edwin Miller joined Marchex as CEO. Miller replaced Russell Horowitz and Michael Arends, who served as co-CEOs and now serve as chairman and vice chairman of the board, respectively.

Marchex generated $12.5 million in revenue during the second quarter, down from $13.5 million during the second quarter of 2022. The company had 193 full-time employees at the end of last year, up slightly from 187 at the end of 2021.

Its previous chief financial officer, Leila Kirske, left the company at the end of 2021 after just over a year and her role has not been replaced. Troy Hartless, former CEO of TLJ Capital, was hired as chief revenue officer in April.
