Seattle-based Boundless Immigration, a startup that helps users find an immigration lawyer and file paperwork online, has acquired San Francisco-based Bridge, which focuses on immigration services for companies.

According to a Boundless spokesperson, the company is gaining more than 40 employees through the acquisition, which was announced Tuesday. Boundless now has more than 250 employees total. That's up from just over 100 employees in 2020, when Boundless acquired the Las Vegas-based immigration company RapidVisa.

“This acquisition will allow customers and clients to receive industry-leading support from anywhere in the world, regardless of their location or time zone,” Boundless co-founder and CEO Xiao Wang said in a news release. “We want to help businesses to build and scale their immigration programs and benefits on their own timeline."

The companies aren't disclosing financial terms of the Bridge acquisition. The Boundless spokesperson said Bridge customers will still use the Bridge website and app, but Boundless will evaluate what services and branding make the most sense over time. On its website, Bridge currently goes by "Bridge by Boundless."

Boundless, founded in 2017, has worked with more than 73,000 customers, the company says. It provides services for both green cards and citizenship and offers live support seven days a week.

Boundless raised $7.8 million in 2019 and an additional $7.5 million in 2020. The company also raised a $3.5 million seed round in 2017.

Bridge, meanwhile, was founded in 2011, according to its LinkedIn page. The company works with corporate clients and human resources departments to offer immigration services for employees, which can be a major burden for companies looking to hire international workers. Bridge says it has worked with more than 1,000 clients, including Carta, Allegiant, Carvana and American Family Insurance.

“By joining forces with Boundless, Bridge is amplifying our capabilities, ensuring that our existing customers experience an even more seamless and comprehensive immigration service," Bridge CEO Romish Badani said in the release.
