Bellevue-based software testing company Sofy is looking for a new office.

The company on Tuesday announced it has opened a 2,500-square-foot office in Dallas to support its growing number of customers, but founder and CEO Syed Hamid said the company also wants to secure a new Seattle-area office, likely on the Eastside, by early next year. Sofy currently works out of Overlake WorkSpace at 2265 116th Ave. NE in Bellevue.

"We are working with an agent and figuring out what are the options available," Hamid said. "In Bellevue, there are a lot of leases available."

Hamid added that Sofy is looking for about 2,000 to 3,000 square feet, and is prioritizing Bellevue and the Eastside because it's a convenient commute. Sofy has a hybrid work model, with employees working in-office Tuesday through Thursday.

Sofy, founded in 2016, lets developers test new product releases on mobile devices. The company says its services don't require writing code, and its device lab allows customers to test remotely on multiple devices. According to Sofy, these services can accelerate product release times by 95%.

In August 2022, the company raised a $7.75 million seed round, at which time it had about 35 employees. Hamid said the company now has about 60 employees, with roughly one-quarter based in Bellevue.

Sofy's Dallas office opened at the start of August. Hamid said the new office provides another testing facility so that if something goes down in the Bellevue office, customers can still use the company's services. Three people work in the Dallas office for now, but Sofy plans to have just under 10 employees there in three to six months.

Hamid said the company is targeting back-office roles like customer success and support in Dallas, but will continue to hire engineers in the Seattle area.

"We are adding enterprise customers almost every month and growing significantly," Hamid said. "We're seeing our investment over the years paying off."
