AFour Technologies, a software engineering firm with U.S. headquarters in Redmond, has been acquired by San Jose, California-based tech consulting firm ACL Digital.
The companies didn't disclose the financials of the deal, which was announced in early December. AFour's 400 employees will be joining ACL Digital, according to a news release.
"We are excited to be a part of ACL Digital, a leader in the digital product engineering space," Subodh Parulekar, co-founder and CEO of AFour, said in the release. "As part of the ACL Digital family, we now have this opportunity to scale, drive growth and deliver customer satisfaction worldwide."
The companies noted in the release that AFour will boost ACL Digital's product engineering services. AFour still has its own name and brand listed on its website.
AFour was founded in 2007. The company helps clients with user experience design, mobile app development, cybersecurity and data engineering, among other services. AFour has served more than 100 clients in the U.S., the company says. It also has an office in Pune, India.
On its website, AFour has open engineering and developer roles listed.
ACL Digital, meanwhile, was founded in 1992, its LinkedIn page says. The company's services are meant to help clients with their digital transformations. ACL Digital offers help with mobile experience, cybersecurity, automation and cloud transformation.
ACL Digital is a subsidiary of Alten Group, a French engineering and IT services company founded in 1988 and has more than 50,000 employees in over 30 countries.
"This acquisition helps us expand and strengthen our deep digital product engineering capabilities across various verticals we operate. Together, we will create world-class solutions with AFour Technologies to empower our clients to streamline their operation," Ramandeep Singh, CEO of ACL Digital, said in the release.
