Seattle-based online reputation management startup Oggvo has named Maureen Ezekwugo as the company's new CEO.

Ezekwugo was previously an executive at RealSelf, the Seattle-based website that allows users to research cosmetic medical procedures and find doctors. Her appointment, announced Tuesday, officially took place in November.

"(Oggvo’s) growth to date is a testament to the need for technology to accelerate and automate the process of building and managing online reputation and customer experience in the small business space,” Ezekwugo said in a release. “Oggvo is at a key inflection point, and I’m honored to have the opportunity."

Ezekwugo is replacing co-founder Sam Cohen Brown as CEO. Cohen Brown is now Oggvo's president. Fellow co-founder Jordan Richter will keep her role as chief financial officer.

According to her LinkedIn page, Ezekwugo spent about 10 years at RealSelf, where her most recent role was chief customer officer. She was an executive vice president in sales and customer success before taking on the chief customer officer role. She left RealSelf in 2020 and spent the past two years as a principal of the MindSync Group, a sales and customer success consulting service.

Oggvo was founded in 2018. The company helps its clients use emails and texts to remind their own customers to leave reviews. Clients can also manage reviews from different sites one place and respond to negative reviews. Oggvo allows clients to put reviews directly on their websites and social media, and it creates monthly reports. Its clients include Stripe, Square and Farmers Insurance.

"Oggvo is uniquely positioned to scale the business on a formula of a growing and strong leadership team, customer-centricity and product growth,” Cohen Brown and Richter said jointly in a release. “We could not be more excited for the team and timing of this transition.”
