Seattle-based tech consultancy 47 Degrees has been acquired by Xebia, an Atlanta-based IT consulting company.

A Xebia spokesperson said 47 Degrees has more than 100 employees, all of whom are joining Xebia and won't have to relocate. The companies aren't disclosing the financial terms of the deal.

“We are delighted to join forces with 47 Degrees," Anand Sahay, CEO of Xebia, said in a release. "We aim to become one of the most significant one-stop shop for all functional programming needs."

The spokesperson added that 47 Degrees will become part of the Xebia brand. On its website, the company is called "47 Degrees, part of Xebia" for the time being.

47 Degrees, founded in 2010, offers services in commerce, logistics, pharmaceuticals and audience analytics for media companies. The company's clients include Angi, Whitepages and Microsoft. In addition to its Seattle offices downtown, 47 Degrees has offices in the United Kingdom, Spain and Columbia.

Xebia, meanwhile, was founded in 2001. The company offers software and strategy services to a variety of industries, including finance, retail, health care and hospitality. Xebia says it has more than 3,000 employees and more than 500 clients. Its LinkedIn page shows it has 17 offices around the world.

“We’re pleased to join forces with Xebia, strong supporters of the functional paradigm, to leverage and support our comprehensive services and expertise to our future and existing clients," Nick Elsberry, CEO and co-founder of 47 Degrees, said in a release. "Xebia not only aligns with our technology goals but our people-first methodologies, and we’re excited about this next chapter.”

Before co-founding 47 Degrees, Elsberry spent about seven years in various engineering and developer roles, including more than two years as a software engineer for the Denver-based insurance software company Vertafore.
