Seattle-based e-commerce shipping startup Pandion has hired Lori Tenan as its first chief revenue officer.
Tenan is joining Pandion from Narvar, a San Mateo, California-based company that focuses on improving retailers' post-purchase experience for customers. She spent the past three years as the senior vice president of sales at Narvar, according to Pandion.
"Having Lori Tenan join as CRO will help identify new opportunities to augment our growth while ensuring our customer experience is best in class,” Scott Ruffin, founder and CEO at Pandion, said in a news release. “Lori’s experience and success in this space speaks for itself and with our ambitious plans for the year, this was the perfect time to bring Lori onto the Pandion team.”
Tenan spent more than seven years total at Narvar, according to her LinkedIn page. Pandion said in a release she led global revenue across commercial, mid-market and enterprise businesses.
Pandion launched out of stealth last year but was founded in 2020. The startup works with e-commerce retailers, offering a shipping network that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence. According to Pandion's website, the company can provide one- and two-day deliveries.
In October, Pandion announced $30 million in new funding, including $22.5 million in a Series A round and $7.5 million as an add-on investment. That same month, Pandion opened a 150,000-square-foot sorting facility in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, about an hour's drive outside Philadelphia. According to Pandion, the facility has sorted and delivered "millions" of packages.
Ruffin was previously the head of Amazon Air for almost five years. According to his LinkedIn page, he was also the vice president and head of e-commerce transportation for Walmart's e-commerce business for over a year.
“E-commerce has never had the dynamic shipping partner it requires, which is why it’s such an exciting time to join Scott and the team at Pandion,” Tenan said in a news release. “With Scott’s experience, as well as Pandion’s intelligence and data network, Pandion is positioned to disrupt the e-commerce logistics space."
