Bellevue-based management and technology consulting firm RedCloud Consulting has acquired Denny Mountain Media, a staffing agency headquartered in Seattle.

DMM has about 40 employees including consultants, account managers and administrative personnel, according to a RedCloud spokesperson. The team is joining RedCloud. The companies aren't disclosing the financial terms of the deal, which was announced Tuesday.

"Bringing DMM’s team of experts into the RedCloud fold immediately bolsters our ability to serve our clients in a historic time when the regional labor market is extremely tight,” Brett Alston, managing partner of RedCloud, said in a news release. “The combination of our firm’s proven success, along with new, top-notch talent will provide our clients with a more complete consulting experience.”

RedCloud has now bought two local companies over the past year. In May, RedCloud acquired the Seattle-based marketing and communications firm BuzzBee, which had worked with clients like Microsoft, Amazon and Intel. Michele Bourdon Keeffe, founder of BuzzBee, joined RedCloud and is now a senior consultant at the company, according to her LinkedIn page.

DMM, founded in 2004, offers digital marketing talent to clients. The marketing workers supplied to clients are either DMM employees or freelancers. The roles DMM sources include multimedia designer, digital strategist and content manager. The company gets its name from founder and CEO Jill Sherensky's time as a ski patroller at Alpental on Denny Mountain, according to the DMM website.

RedCloud, meanwhile, was founded in 1995. The firm offers technology consulting, marketing, public relations and sales services. According to Business Journal research, RedCloud was among the top 100 fastest-growing private companies in Washington state by revenue growth between 2018 and 2020. The research found RedCloud brought in $13.5 million in revenue in 2018 and $17.4 million in 2020, an increase of over 29%.

The RedCloud spokesperson said the company now has more than 160 employees after the acquisition. The spokesperson added that DMM will keep its brand.
