Seattle-based video management company Panopto on Monday announced Bobby Morrison, Intuit's chief revenue and sales officer, has joined its board of directors.
Morrison began his role with Intuit, a publicly traded Bay Area financial software company, at the start of 2020. He brings more than 25 years of go-to-market experience to Panopto, the company says.
“I am excited to have the chance to work with and learn from Bobby,” Eric Burns, Panopto’s CEO, said in a news release. “The new world of remote work and ubiquitous video has made Panopto a critical platform for companies of all sizes, and I’m confident that Bobby’s strategic experience at Intuit and beyond is the perfect complement to our ambitions and opportunity.”
Prior to Intuit, Morrison worked for almost three years at Microsoft, where he spent time as the worldwide vice president of small, medium and corporate business. Before Microsoft, he spent about 19 years at Verizon. His most recent role at the telecom giant was senior vice president and head of digital operations.
Panopto, founded in 2007, allows users to record, upload, live stream and search videos. Its corporate clients include Nike, Tableau and General Electric, while its higher education clients include the University of North Carolina, Stanford University and the University of Missouri.
Panopto has already added key members to its team and grown by way of an acquisition this year. In January, the company hired Dave Neway from IBM as Panopto's vice president of marketing. In July, Panopto hired Will Wyatt from Ekata as the company's chief sales officer. Panopto acquired its Syracuse, New York-based competitor Ensemble Video in April.
