Bellevue-based Pandion has raised a $41.5 million Series B round, the shipping startup announced Thursday.
With the funding, the company plans to grow its network. Pandion also named four new senior leaders, including former Flexport and Amazon vet Brent Cervenka as chief operating officer.
“With this new funding and the expansion of our leadership team, Pandion is positioned to disrupt e-commerce delivery for brands of all sizes,” Pandion founder and CEO Scott Ruffin said in a release.
Pandion was founded in 2020 but launched out of stealth in 2021. The company helps shippers with their final-mile delivery, as it offers a network of more than 500,000 final-mile drivers. Pandion uses machine learning to choose the best final-mile carrier.
Ruffin was head of Amazon Air for almost five years, and he spent more than a year as the vice president and head of Walmart's e-commerce transportation business.
The company also has its own sorting centers, according to its website.
