Zero Acres Farms
After a flurry of funding deals last week, the lull seems to have returned to the Bay Area venture and startup scene.
Just two local companies announced new funding rounds at the start of the last week of the first quarter. One offers invoicing software for construction contractors, while the other is developing alternatives to vegetable cooking oils.
Here are the details on those deals and other venture news:
Fundings
- Beam Finance Inc., San Francisco, $4 million, Seed: Accel led the round for this provider of invoicing and bill payment software for general construction contractors. Susa Ventures and Wischoff Ventures also invested.
- Zero Acre Farms Inc., San Mateo, undisclosed amount: The Cultivate Next Fund of Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. invested in this developer of alternative cooking oils that's led by CEO Jeff Nobbs.
