Digital payments giant Stripe Inc. has acquired San Francisco coding analytics startup Okay Software Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Okay is a three-year startup founded by CEO Antoine Boulanger and CTO Tomas Barreto, who met as managers at another San Francisco tech firm Box. The company, which has raised $6.75 million to date from investors like Kleiner Perkins and Sequoia Capital, develops workflow management software for engineering teams.

"Over the years, we have proven our method with thousands of engineers and at many Silicon Valley unicorns," Boulanger and Barreto wrote in a blog post. "Now, we’ll be bringing this approach to the Stripe eng team. Our values and philosophy on engineering effectiveness are a great match with Stripe, which is why we could not be more excited to join forces."

As part of the acquisition, Okay will transition from providing services to existing customers like Plaid and Brex to serve Stripe exclusively. Stripe declined to say whether Okay's existing employees and management would go on to work for Stripe.

Stripe CTO David Singleton took to Twitter to laud the deal, saying it will help the company build more effective tools for engineers.
