Cryptocurrency companies continue to attract big money from investors.

Case in point: CoinTracker, which on Thursday announced it raised $100 million in a Series A round. Legally known as Nino Finance Inc., the startup offers an online service that helps traders manage their cryptocurrency portfolios and calculate their tax payments.

That latter feature could prove important for many cryptocurrency enthusiasts in coming months as they prepare to file their taxes, Sagar Sanghvi, a partner at Accel, which led CoinTracker's new round, said in the news announcement.

"This tax season, the IRS has an eye on crypto earnings," Sanghvi said in news release.
