Consider pairing your next glass of wine with a sampling of weed-laced gummies.

That's too far off the mission of Garden Society. The Cloverdale startup proudly touts its Wine Country location and the quality of its marijuana edibles and pre-rolled cigarettes. And it must be on to something, because it's been finding a following for its products.

"Despite a crazy past two years in 2021 we were able to continue to realize rapid growth with a focus on profitability," Erin Gore, Garden Society's founder and CEO, said in a news release. via the release.

Now the Northern Sonoma County company, legally known as Old River Road Inc., has the money to expand its operations and find new customers. It recently raised $7 million in Series A funding and plans to use that to expand its team, upgrade and scale up its manufacturing operations and launch new products, it said.

"With this infusion we can ... meet the demand we have worked so hard to build over the past five years," Gore said in the press release.

Here's more on its round and other Series A funding news from this past week:

Old River Road Inc. (dba Garden Society), Cloverdale, $7 million: RJ Primo led the round for this provider of low-dose marijuana edibles and cigarettes.
