It's Thanksgiving week, which means that the venture industry is likely taking something of a break.

The past week, Bay Area startups have only raised two seed rounds. But that's not unusual. During the week of Thanksgiving last year, the Business Journal only recorded three seed rounds. Neither of the two editions of The Funded that led up to Turkey Day 2020 included any seed rounds at all.

Here are the two companies who received seed funding this week. And Happy Thanksgiving from Bay Area Inno!

Slope Tech Inc. (dba Slope), San Francisco, $8 million: Global Founders Capital led the round for this provider of an installment payment service for goods distributors.

Resident Boost Inc. (dba Zuma), San Francisco, $6.7 million: Andreessen Horowitz led the round for this developer of a chatbot for apartment management companies that helps them communicate with prospective tenants.
