San Antonio information technology firm Bridgehead IT Inc. announced this week its move to an all-new headquarters and warehouse previously occupied by XPEL Inc.

The 16,650-square-foot office building at 618 W. Sunset Road includes several suites. The move was needed due to the company's rapid growth, said Director of Marketing Lauren Serrato. An open house for the new space is tentatively scheduled for this fall.

The move is intended to be a temporary one as the company continues to expand.

"Since we've moved in there have been a number of recent hires with plans to bring on at least 10 more people," Serrato said, adding that plans are on the horizon to acquire more property and custom-build a future headquarters in the next three to five years.

Approximately 80 local employees will be working in the Sunset Road building. The company employs close to 100 workers overall.

Serrato noted that besides the additional space — more than 7,000 square feet — the new headquarters has improved parking and offices, a break room, a warehouse for staging and loading docks for the company's van fleet.

Serrato said Bridgehead IT has doubled the number of employees and its revenue in two years.

Although many technology team members were fully remote during the pandemic — with some team members working on location for national and international clients — the move means other employees have the opportunity to return to the office even as the company aims to provide a more flexible post-pandemic schedule.

Company CEO Wes Bunch said acquiring and moving into the new space was a team effort, and a much-needed one to help the company and its employees continue to thrive.

"Something I ask my team often is, 'What can we do as a company to make our employees' lives better?'," Bunch said. "It is a goal I like to visit continually and often."

Bridgehead IT was established in 1999 and founded by Bunch and Chief Operating Officer Chris Brandvik. The company's focus is end-to-end custom technology services for both publicly traded global companies and mid-sized local businesses.
