San Antonio company SecureVideo, a local developer of cloud-based software-as-a-service telehealth solutions, announced Wednesday the installment of a new CEO, Madison Mauzé.

Mauzé, a native of the Alamo City, most recently served as the CEO of social service software company Vertex Systems, a position in which he will remain while also serving as CEO of SecureVideo. Both companies are part of the portfolio of San Antonio's hyper-niche software company Dura Software, with SecureVideo being a recent addition to the Dura family in late 2021.

Dura Software, based in downtown San Antonio, operates a portfolio of companies including dbtech, 6Connex, DVSAnalytics, Lane, Eventory, Moki, NordicIT, and Vertex Systems. SecureVideo was its ninth acquisition.

Previously, Mauzé worked in the health care industry as chief operating officer for FetchMD, regional vice president of business operations for the Walgreens Take Care Clinic, and vice president of operations for Whole Health Management.

Mauzé said the innovative nature of the company's technology and video conferencing platform attracted him to the position, as well as its "compassionate service."

The previous CEO of SecureVideo, Jonathan Taylor, will be moving into the role of chief product and technology officer at the company. Taylor, one of the company's founders, has led the company since its California beginnings in 2012.

Paul Salisbury, Dura Software's CEO, said Mauzé's experience in the health care space honed his talent for directing high-performing teams, and he hopes Mauzé' will continue to build on SecureVideo's soaring growth. He added that Taylor's health care experience coupled with his experience in software development, product design, technical architecture and application design will be ideally suited to his new position.

During the pandemic, SecureVideo's usage expanded more than 30 times as the remote health care demand skyrocketed. The company provides a telehealth platform to behavioral health organizations, hospitals, doctors' offices, medical groups and specialty health care organizations.
