The South Texas Drilling Roundup is a weekly review of drilling permit applications filed with the Railroad Commission of Texas over a 67-county area of South Texas.

New and Noteworthy:

Houston-based with a San Antonio division, EOG Resources Inc. applied in the last week to drill eight new wells in three counties: Atacosta, Webb and Gonzales. Three of the wells, which will be located in Gonzales County in the Eagle Ford Shale and 9.5 miles southeast of the nearest town of Gonzales, will have completion depths of 12,000 feet. In Railroad Commission documents, the filer noted that EOG Resources operates all units compromising these allocation wells.

The company has also filed for a horizontal new drill of a gas well in the Eagle Ford Shale located in Webb County 1.7 miles southeast of the nearby town of Encinal, with a completion depth of 13,400 feet.

Finally, the company also filed for horizontal drill permits for four new oil or gas wells in Atacosta County, about 9.1 miles southwest of the nearest town of Christine. Their intended completion depths will be 11,000 feet.
