Stan Jacot

CEO, Arcadia Biosciences Inc.

Brand marketing veteran Stan Jacot took over as CEO of Davis-based Arcadia Biosciences Inc. in February last year. Jacot is leading the company’s transition from being a science-based plant research and wellness ingredients company to being a consumer products company with products including consumer packaged goods. Jacot was previously president of Jane’s Dough Foods in Ohio, and he's had senior marketing and operations roles at Mission Foods in Texas, Borden Dairy, ConAgra Brands Inc. and Kellogg Co.

Gaming industry veteran Mark Otero is co-founder and CEO of Azra Games, a local blockchain gaming company that is developing immersive multiplayer role-playing action games where players can own their characters as nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, which are digital assets based on blockchain technology. Otero started gaming company KlickNation in 2009 in Sacramento, before selling it to gaming giant Electronic Arts Inc. Otero worked four years with Electronic Arts and led development of game titles Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and Heroes of Dragon Age. Four months after its founding, Azra Games raised $15 million led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

CEO, California Mobility Center

Mark Rosekind has been serving as the California Mobility Center’s first CEO since October, following a career in safety and transportation in California and Washington, D.C. Rosekind is a former administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, leading the agency through the recall of defective Takata airbags, which is still the largest product recall in history. The center is a Sacramento-based private-public entity that seeks to foster zero-carbon future mobility technologies.
