Human resources and compliance company Emtrain, which is partly based in Sacramento, is partnering with Cisco Systems Inc. to integrate its training modules into one of the technology company's platforms.

Emtrain develops workplace training materials focused on preventing bias, discrimination, harassment and ethical lapses in the workplace. It also collects workplace culture analytics. The company was founded in 2004 and has an office on J Street in Midtown Sacramento, in addition to one in San Francisco.

Emtrain's training modules are being integrated into Cisco's (Nasdaq: CSCO) Webex videoconferencing platform.

With the integration, Webex users will be able access video playlists, educational resources and training sessions focused on real-life workplace scenarios addressing issues such as harassment, respect and unconscious bias, inclusion and LGBTQ.

"I am thrilled that we can now access Emtrain right from within Webex where we all spend our day," said Fran Katsoudas, executive vice president and chief people officer of San Jose-based Cisco, in a news release. "This integration keeps culture top of mind and gives our employees easy access to powerful e-learning and workplace management content."

The integration of Emtrain's training modules into Webex is expected to go live in June.

"This in-app integration is a significant milestone in Emtrain's relationship with Cisco," said Janine Yancey, founder and CEO of Emtrain, in an email. "It shows that Cisco leaders appreciated and valued our solution and want to share it with the Cisco ecosystem and we're very excited to where else this partnership goes."

Emtrain's platform is used by more than 600 companies, including Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (Nasdaq: BBBY), Genentech and Live Nation Entertainment Inc. (NYSE: LYV).
