Granite Bay digital license plate company ReviverMX Inc. has put together a bundle package for fleet management.

The Reviver RFleet digital license plate is now available for fleet vehicles registered in California, Arizona and Michigan, with Texas being added later this year, Neville Boston, Reviver co-founder and chief technology officer, told the Business Journal.

The package combines the ability of Reviver’s Rplates to get automated registration updated annually along with a suite of telematics and GPS for management.

“As a fleet manager, any time you touch a vehicle, there is a cost associated with it,” Boston said. The RFleet not only updates registration automatically, which can be a difficult management problem for large fleets, but it also adds functionality.

The RFleet Rplate offers fleet managers real-time vehicle tracking, geofencing, trip logging and speeding alerts. The plates have a mode that flashes "STOLEN" if the vehicle is stolen. And Reviver is adding functionality including automatically paying and tracking bridge and road tolls, which will be software that can be updated to all existing Rplates, Boston said.

Reviver has been working with fleets for some time, but it decided to add the fleet package because it has been getting inbound interest from fleet operators, Boston said.

Potential fleet customers include logistics providers, municipal fleets, food and beverage delivery companies, trucking companies and car rental companies.

The Reviver plate uses a bistable digital screen, which requires no flowing electrical current to show an image. It requires current only to change the image.

Just over a year ago, Reviver started getting car dealerships to install Rplates on all new cars on their lots. That has grown to 120 dealerships, Boston said.

Reviver doesn’t give out revenue numbers. It is up to 65 employees.
