Redtail Technology has added a compliant text messaging option financial advisers can use to communicate with clients even if they aren’t users of Redtail’s flagship client relationship management platform.
Sacramento-based Redtail offers financial advisers a cloud-based client relationship management, or CRM, platform to communicate with clients while remaining compliant with record-keeping rules.
“Advisers’ clients have spoken. They want a way to get the advice they need to make important transactions quickly and in the moment. That was why we decided to make our Redtail Speak accessible to the entire industry, whether you use our core CRM product or not,” said Redtail CEO Brian McLaughlin, in a news release. "People now expect seamless experiences with almost immediate response times in every aspect of their lives — including financial advisory services."
Redtail said that texts are opened more quickly and more often than emails, and it has become a preferred method of communication for many clients of advisers.
Founded in 2003, Redtail offers independent advisers a CRM tool that is complaint with archived, searchable record-keeping rules that include time stamps. The new Redtail Speak makes that text tool available to advisers who aren’t subscribers to its CRM product.
The company now has 128 employees, said spokeswoman Allie Zendrian.
Redtail’s CRM platform is meant to allow advisers to work where and when they want on a secure platform. It provides them a paperless office, which includes secure archiving and emergency backup.
Using Redtail Speak, every conversation, message and document is fully searchable and automatically archived. New enhancements to Redtail Speak include templates that streamline outgoing messages and an ability to schedule messages for future delivery.
Redtail’s first version of Redtail Speak won the Wealth Management Industry Award in 2019 in the category of Technology Providers CRM.
Redtail is part of a growing cluster of financial technology companies in the Sacramento area.
