National home gym equipment company Tonal is looking to enter the Northern California market and plans to open a showroom in the Westfield Galleria at Roseville in the coming weeks.
San Francisco-based Tonal's home gym equipment combines about 150 different pieces of gym equipment into one and uses artificial intelligence to set personalized workouts.
The company is opening a location at 1151 Galleria Blvd., Suite 193, in Roseville's Galleria. It's expected to open on Dec. 9, said Christopher Stadler, chief marketing officer for Tonal.
"We are excited to be entering into the Sacramento market," Stadler said. "We think Westfield Galleria at Roseville is a beautiful mall that is well-situated and that location is poised for success in the market."
Stadler said the stand-alone showroom will be located next to the Apple Store in the Galleria. Tonal is currently in the process of prepping the store for opening, hiring staff and providing the necessary training to hit the ground running in time for a busy holiday season, he said.
Tonal showrooms are set up to allow customers the ability to try the equipment and ask questions to company representatives. Stadler said Tonal is the world's smartest and most innovative home gym. Users start by taking a strength assessment and based on their performance, the equipment's AI sets personalized workouts using Tonal's patented "digital weight" technology, which can be adjusted in real-time, he said.
The Westfield Galleria will be Tonal's first showroom location in Northern California, though Stadler said the company has its sights set on the region.
"This is our next big move. Obviously we have high hopes for the market and the data is telling us it's going to be a successful market, so we see nothing but growth opportunity in the area," he said.
