The Sacramento Kings have an agreement with auction app I Got It to offer fans at Golden 1 Center the ability to buy items used in the game, in-arena experiences and other merchandise — including non-fungible tokens — from their smartphones.
The Kings said they signed a multiyear partnership with I Got It, which is an app from I Got It Holdings based in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
“We are excited to partner with I Got It to provide an opportunity for our fans to get into the auctions,” said John Rinehart, Sacramento Kings president of business operations, in a news release. “The Kings auctions will not only offer exclusive experiences but the chance to bid real-time on game-worn items and more.”
I Got It launched in 2016, according to venture capital data site Crunchbase.
The mobile app engages fans in sports venues to bid in real time on experiences, merchandise, memorabilia and non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, which are unique digital assets stored on blockchain.
The Sacramento Kings preseason started Monday. The regular season home opener is against the Utah Jazz on Oct. 22.
The I Got It app is available from the Google Play and Apple stores, and it is also accessible via the Sacramento Kings + Golden 1 Center app, the Kings said.
I Got It has other multiyear partnerships with the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks, among others.
