Online international film distribution marketplace Filmhub Inc. has raised $6.8 million for the company that was founded in Santa Monica, but now lists its headquarters as Midtown Sacramento.

Filmhub sold all the shares it was trying to sell between the first offering date in mid-November until the end of that month, according to its disclosure documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this month.

That SEC form shows the company sold equity worth $6.81 million.

Company executives didn’t return calls from the Business Journal seeking information.

Technology company tracker Crunchbase said Filmhub’s investors include San Francisco-based micro venture capital investor FundersClub, Singapore-based DTRIBE Capital and San Francisco-based early-stage venture capital investor NFX, which was an early investor in DoorDash Inc. (NYSE: DASH) and Lyft Inc. (Nasdaq: LYFT).

The new funding brings Filmhub's total to $7.3 million, according to Crunchbase.

Filmhub is a movie distribution tech platform where filmmakers can post their films for potential streaming distribution worldwide by streaming companies, according to its website. The filmmaker retains rights to the film, and they also earn 80% of the income from worldwide streaming distribution.

Filmnhub is a 2016 startup, according to its filing with the SEC.

The company’s CEO is listed as Alan d’Escragnolle, a graduate of The Wharton School, who has worked for tech companies including Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) and Square Inc. (NYSE: SQ), according to his LinkedIn page. The other executive listed in the SEC filing is Klaus Badelt, who is listed as a director of the company. Badelt is a film score composer with more than 80 credits on IMDb, including working on several of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies.
