This profile is part of the Sacramento Business Journal's Inno Under 25 feature.

Sacramento Inno Under 25 recognizes entrepreneurs, innovators, founders and scientists in the Sacramento regional business ecosystem.

These talented young people are trailblazers who have seen opportunities, created new products or started their own companies at an age when many people are still trying to figure out what they want to be when they grow up. The candidates are all under 25 by the end of this year, and they live or work in local counties.

Zakary Logie, 21

CEO of Launched Digital Solutions

Zakary Logie started his company Launched Digital Solutions in his dorm room when he was a freshman at University of California Davis.

He graduated early from UC Davis in March with his degree in communications, and he’s actively looking for other entrepreneurial opportunities. Launched Digital is still going, but he’s also interested in other ideas, and he’s considering going to school for a Master of Business Administration degree.

Logie said he started Launched Digital because he thought it might look good on a law school application, but in the years since, he’s less interested in going after the law degree and more interested in business.

Meanwhile, Logie says he was bitten hard by the entrepreneurial bug at an early age. It started when he was still in high school in Camarillo in Southern California. Back then, as a 13-year-old, he volunteered for a number of veterans support organizations, and he eventually started doing digital marketing for them. He was self-taught using LinkedIn Learning modules.

While still in high school, he got a summer job working for a growing solar and electrical company, eventually working on their website and digital marketing. Once in college at UC Davis, he started Launched Digital Solutions. To drum up business, he began cold-calling nonprofit groups and offering to do free marketing work for them. He then sought paying gigs from people in the nonprofit groups’ networks.

That effort has seen Launched Digital grow over the years to $170,000 in annual revenue in 2023, he said, and the company is on track for $300,000 in revenue this year. The company is fully remote and it has no employees, but it does engage contractors and interns.

He continues to branch out and reach out. He developed the website for the nonprofit Startup Folsom, where he joined the board of directors, and he does gratis marketing work for Teaching Everyone Animals Matter, or TEAM Bradshaw, which is the nonprofit affiliate of the Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter. He continues to explore other entrepreneurial ideas, including developing a platform for state governments to log accidents through digital car crash reporting.
