Each year, Sacramento Business Journal Inno reporter Mark Anderson identifies the top local startups set to make waves in the year ahead. Shared Vision is one of 11 that made the cut in 2024.

Shared Vision

Shared Vision has created an affiliated-link management program that allows consumers of content on websites, videos and blogs to quickly link to the products featured in the content in real time. The links are not just to the overall site of retailers, but deep links to the actual products featured in the individual retailers’ sites.

Moreover, the company has created in-house artificial intelligence that reads websites and blogs and actively inserts deep links, said CEO Spencer Bardsley. “They are not grabbing random products, they grab products they mention and didn’t link, and it adds the link.”

Shared Vision’s Noah AI also monitors and fixes broken links as they change. Started in 2019 and based in Sacramento, the company has a team of five people. The company provides creators with links to retailers including Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT), Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN), Home Depot (NYSE: HD) and Target Corp. (NYSE: TGT), among others.

Shared Vision was the winner of the top prize of $10,000 in cash in the 2023 Sacramento Kings Capitalize Contest held in the spring.

Shared Vision Noah AI seamlessly brings in a link to mentioned products, but it doesn’t force the viewer off the site, so the content can still be read. It just adds the option of a link to the product, and it allows the viewer to continue to view the content or read the blog with no disruption of their browsing experience. Shared Vision’s Noah AI also integrates the links to the featured content without the content producer having to understand or be able to use the underlying technology.
