Warehowz founder and Chief Executive Officer Darrell Jervey knows speed matters to online shoppers who want their orders delivered fast.

He’s made it his mission to figure out how sellers can accomplish this during the busy holiday season and on-going global supply chain challenges.

On the heels of its new self-service solution that taps into AI-driven technology, Richmond-based Warehowz recently announced the implementation of another tool to expedite and simplify the warehousing logistics process.

Warehowz, an on-demand warehousing marketplace co-founded by Jervey and Nick Bawa, is providing a new direct-to-consumer (D2C) solution to make managing shipments and inventory more efficient.

Certainly, with the disruptions in supply chain, it’s been very beneficial for our demand for these kinds of solutions,” he said. “We quickly realized people who were engaging in e-commerce business, e-commerce transactions, not only do they need [warehouse] space, but they also need a true data integration solution.”

Warehowz currently has more than 1,500 fully vetted warehouses nationwide and connects warehouses with available space to companies in need of storage and fulfillment services.

“When someone needs excess capacity or they need something on an immediate basis, we’re really one of the very few solutions that can turn this around in days,” he said.

Any business with an account on the Warehowz network can access the D2C feature. This will allow e-commerce retailers and sellers to manage and track inventory, shipments and sales across multiple warehouse locations in a single view. This, Jervey said, is something that could not be done before.

The new capabilities will be especially beneficial to retailers who need to place their goods in multiple locations across the U.S., Jervey said.

“With this solution … You can see every shipment from every warehouse, every amount of inventory that you have, so your demand planning becomes much easier,” he said. “You can see all inventory, all shipments, the increase and decrease in inventory and monitor your sales by sales channels.”

The technology is powered by Minnesota-based Etail Solutions to give sellers a view of inventory and optimize orders from various sales channels through a single platform. Jervey said the D2C solution comes at no additional cost to the user.

He said small and mid-sized retailers can especially benefit from Warehowz’s commitment to making the process easier and more affordable.

“We want to be flexible and available to everyone, not just to people who use Amazon … or people who have the luxury of owning their own warehouses and distribution centers,” he said
