Richmond entrepreneur Steve Dash is working to solve a different set of challenges in customer relationship management with the launch of software platform Joggle.

Dash founded Joggle in 2018 and is gearing up to launch the sales management platform on the Apple iOS store. Joggle's software was created for home services companies with a focus on sales representatives and small businesses — the folks Dash calls "doers."

"The idea behind it is that most CRMs are usually embraced by executives or managers, the people who really need and use the data," Dash said. "There's a bottleneck, typically with the sales reps — that's the challenge we're trying to take on."

Dash said the platform is mobile only, making its interface easy to navigate. It will be available for free for individual use or on a subscription basis for small businesses and teams. The software syncs to a user's iPhone Calendar app and Contacts app. It's also customizable based on a user's needs.

"You have people, and you have projects — that’s the part we’re focusing on. Easy navigation and simple updating allow you to manage your customers through the people and the projects."

Joggle's platform is in the late stages of development and testing, Dash said, and is expected to launch in the next month or two. He said his own company has acted as a beta tester for the software, which he and co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Sean Jepson developed together.

A career-entrepreneur, Dash said he credits local incubator Startup Virginia for giving him and Jepson the resources they needed to get Joggle launch-ready.

"I’ve been involved in startups for more than 25 years, yet this project wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t part of Startup Virginia," he said. "The resources are so rich, and the community is so strong, that a couple of the challenges we had to deal with were easily overcome."
