Brian Anderson and Erin Powell elected to Activation Council; Creamer, Finn, and Westlake re-elected

The Activation Council has elected two new members and three current members were re-elected.

RE-ELECTION:

  • Elizabeth Creamer, VP for Workforce Development & Credential Attainment, Community College Workforce Alliance
  • Jen Finn, Angel Investor and Strategic Advisor
  • Garret Westlake, Ph. D., Executive Director, VCU da Vinci Center

ELECTION:

  • Brian Anderson, President & CEO, ChamberRVA
  • Erin Powell, Executive Director, Lighthouse Labs

Dr. Rao, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Activation Capital and Activation Council stated, “We are lucky to have such accomplished individuals willing to serve in support of making the Richmond region and the Commonwealth the place to be for innovation and entrepreneurship.  These individuals will help us to further our mission of supporting founders as we look forward to the future.”

Speaking about the appointments Chandra Briggman, President & CEO of Activation Capital, said, “We are thankful for the continued leadership of Elizabeth, Garret, and Jen as we grow Activation Capital’s presence in the region and across the Commonwealth.  We are excited to have Erin and Brian join Activation Council and for their fresh perspectives related to innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development.  These five individuals have significant talents and we are glad to have them as part of our organization.”
