CCWA

The Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA) is the workforce development partnership between John Tyler Community College and Reynolds Community College serving the economic development and workforce needs in four cities and 12 counties of Central Virginia. The organization provides non-credit training, custom-designed instruction, consulting, skills assessments and educational programs.

Co.Starters

CO.STARTERS is a platform to help communities grow local business. This nine-week program equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the insights, relationships, and tools needed to turn business ideas into action. True to our nature as Lean Startup founders, CO.STARTERS applies lean business modeling methods to help new and existing entrepreneurs validate their business idea.

Dominion Energy Innovation Center

DEIC is a startup incubator located in Ashland, Virginia, and affiliated with the VA Bio+Tech Park providing below-market space and services for companies with high-growth potential.

NRV

RVAWorks

RVA Works is a joint initiative of the City of Richmond, and private sector sponsors.  Its mission is to improve the environment for entrepreneurship by holding events for startup founders, directing entrepreneurs to value resources, offering training on new business skills, and connecting founders with new loans.

SBA

The Richmond District office is responsible for the delivery of U.S. Small Business Administration programs and services to 92 counties in Virginia (excluding the counties of Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun, and cities of Alexandria, Fairfax and Falls Church which are served by the Washington, D.C. District Office).

SCORE

SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, with more than 10,000 volunteers in 300 chapters.  They help you succeed with free, customized and confidential advice from their experienced volunteers, networking opportunities and interactive workshops on a full range of business topics.

Startup Virginia

Startup Virginia is a startup incubator for high growth companies, provides a workspace for startup teams and also serves as a meeting space for mentors and investors.

THRIVE

THRIVE is a program of ChamberRVA, which operates the Greater Richmond Small Business Development Center (SBDC) as part of the Virginia Small Business Development Center network.

UnBound RVA

UnBound RVA a non-profit focusing on empowering individuals from low-income backgrounds through the opportunity to own their own business and transform their lives.

VA Bio+Tech Park

The VA Bio+Tech Park is a dynamic and growing life sciences community and is home to nearly 70 life science companies, research institutes, state/federal laboratories and is adjacent to Virginia Commonwealth University, a “Top 100" life sciences research center.
