Corgibytes LLC, an Ashland-based custom software maker, has been absorbed by C Infinity Solutions LLC.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

C Infinity, an Alamo, California-based software consultancy and digital engineering firm, billed the deal as a merger in its announcement Tuesday, adding that the clients and engineers of Corgibytes will join C Infinity and services will continue under the C Infinity brand.

Corgibytes specializes in legacy code modernization and application development. C Infinity said the deal will enhance its ability to provide those services and add engineers to its team.

Eight Corgibytes employees, including co-founders Scott Ford and Andrea Goulet, are joining C Infinity through the deal. Ford, who was chief technology officer at Corgibytes, will be a strategic technology adviser at C Infinity, while Goulet is a member of the company’s advisory board, C Infinity CEO Chris Coughlan told me in an email.

“Each person who has spent time on the Corgibytes team has left an indelible mark,” Goulet wrote in a post on LinkedIn announcing the deal. “Thank you to every Corgi who contributed to building a software culture that reminds us of what the tech industry can become.”

In a statement, Ford said C Infinity shares Corgibytes' client-focused, engineer-centered mindset, making it a good partner. "Our clients and engineers will be in great hands with C Infinity," he said.
