Richmond's Summit Human Capital cracks top 20 of Inc. 5000



Summit Human Capital, a Richmond-based staffing firm, placed No. 20 overall on the new Inc. 5000 list tracking the country’s fastest-growing private companies.

Founded by Glenn Diersen in 2018, Summit was also the fastest-growing company in the entire state of Virginia, according to the ranking, posting three-year revenue growth of 14,413%. The company opened an office in Northern Virginia last year focused on government services staffing.

Overall, 38 companies from the Richmond region landed on the list. The Richmond area put 44 companies on the Inc. 5000 last year.

The magazine’s list, posted every year since 1982, ranks the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. based on three years of revenue growth. To qualify, the companies must have generated at least $2 million in revenue by 2021, and the companies must not be subsidiaries of other companies.

Outside of Summit, the Richmond region placed two other companies in the top 500: Glen Allen Salesforce consultancy CloudQnect (No. 350, 1,666% growth) and Richmond commercial truck tire chain Git The Trucking Commercial Tires (No. 385, 1,276% growth).
