Activation Capital Tax Help Office Hours with Cherry Bekaert

Description: Come get assistance with your 2019 taxes from certified public accountancy firm Cherry Bekaert. Description: Front End Study Night is a collaborative and open environment for women coders to hone their front-end web dev skills together through dialogue and peer programming. Governor’s Datathon 2019: Using Data and Analytics to Promote Equity in K–20 Education

Description: This groundbreaking competition will bring together multidisciplinary teams of individuals from government, higher ed, private industry, and nonprofits to take new and existing datasets and turn them into actionable information. That information will support Virginia’s goal of using data and analytics to improve educational outcomes and promote equity. The event will also enable participants to gain a greater insight on the equity issue and potential actions. Prizes will be awarded across several categories. Previous datathons have created solutions that have been utilized across the Commonwealth.

Dominion Energy Innovation Center 2019 Pitch Competition

Description: This year’s Pitch Competition will feature three emerging technology startups vying for a $10,000 award and membership to the Dominion Energy Innovation Center. A separate award will be given for participating student teams representing Randolph-Macon. Selected finalists will have the opportunity to pitch in front of a panel of judges and live audience consisting of ecosystem leaders, investors and community members.
