Inclusively, a startup that helps companies recruit and retain employees with disabilities, has raised a $13 million Series A round.

The company is headquartered in St. Louis, but co-founder and CEO Charlotte Dales is based in Richmond.

Inclusively said it will use the new money to accelerate enterprise access to its workforce personalization product called Retain, which helps with accommodation requests from workers with disabilities. The company says the tool can help companies boost productivity, increase retention and elevate return on investment.

The new round was led by Menlo Park, California’s Firework Ventures and included participation from existing investors like Benson Capital, the venture arm of New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson.

The Series A round follows a $4.3 million in a convertible note round that the company closed in early January.

Launched in 2020, Inclusively has developed a jobs platform that helps companies find employees with disabilities, chronic illnesses and military veterans. Its software allows job applicants to choose and identify accommodations they will need for job interviews and on the job with companies.

“We believe the future of work requires solutions like Inclusively — their AI-driven workplace personalization will enable all individuals to thrive at work,” Firework Ventures General Partner Ashley Bittner said in a statement. “We are especially excited that Inclusively is expanding its offering to support caregivers, veterans and other underinvested in communities that are critical contributors to our workforce.”

Inclusively says it has more than 50 enterprise clients, including Delta, Pfizer, Accenture, Charles Schwab and Edward Jones.
