And then there were two.
Yep, you read that right: the 2019 Tech Madness Semifinals have come to a close.
But, as per usual, let’s get on the same page on what Tech Madness is all about before we jump to our results. It’s our reader-driven bracket competition (like March Madness) that aims to champion and highlight local startups — 32 of them, to be exact, and they’ll face off bracket-style over the next few weeks until the winner is determined. See the whole bracket here.
While I mentioned in last week's post that round three had shattered voting records, it, in turn, was decimated by this week's near-1,300 votes. The result? A final showdown between Aquanis and Feast & Fettle.
If you’re not sure who to vote for, keep this in mind: While choosing who to vote for is ultimately subjective, we encourage you to engage by asking yourself, “who would I invest in?” However you interpret that question is correct. Does one company’s core values intrigue you over another’s? Does one “player” already have a stronger showing of venture funding and you want to keep sharing the love? Or perhaps your brother’s company is facing a startup that you’ve never heard of, and you really want him to take home the prize, just ’cause. Or — maybe you love one company to pieces, but realllllyyy feel like its opponent will ultimately go the distance to become the state’s first unicorn. At the end of they day? You do you.
In order to ensure your vote gets counted, make sure to cast it by April 4 at 11:59. On April 5, the competition will end and we'll announce this year's Tech Madness winner.
Happy voting!
