It’s Christmas for business nerds — the Inc. 5000 2017 full list has dropped today.
For the uninitiated, the Inc. 5000 ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., and small-but-mighty Rhode Island has an eight-slot showing.
Wakefield’s ChartWise Medical Systems was the highest-ranked Rhode Island company on the list, coming in at the #797 spot with $5.7 million in revenue and a growth rate of 565 percent, which I didn’t realize was mathematically possible.
Best Practice Energy was #1498, bringing in $2.8 million with a growth grate of 272.05 percent.
Outside of Chartwise, the other Rhode Island tech companies on the list are Trade Area Systems, a provider of site selection data and analytics for retailers, and Compass IT Compliance, an IT security, audit and compliance firm.
