Women's Empowerment in Sports Panel: The Women's Empowerment team of the Brown Entrepreneurship Program is hosting the Women's Empowerment in Sports Panel as an opportunity to connect female entrepreneurial leaders to students. Audience members will be hearing from Tiffany Kelly(Founder and CEO of Curastory) about her journey from getting a degree in Sports Analytics to a Sports Analytics Assistant at ESPN to now having Curastory. This event starts at 3 p.m. at the Nelson Center Entrepreneurship building above the Shake Shack, specifically the Liz Lange Hall on the 2nd Floor. Saturday, Dec. 3

Crossing the Pell — A unique virtual reality experience: Visitors to Crossing the Pell, a virtual reality (VR) installation, will have the unique opportunity to traverse the iconic Claiborne Pell Bridge on foot or on bicycle and drink in breathtaking views of Narragansett Bay. The experience is made possible by the visionary work of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Interior Architecture students and faculty through a partnership with Bike Newport. Drop-in attendance is also welcome. All ages are welcome, and feedback from diverse participants is desired. This free interactive installation will be open to the public at the Old Colony House on Newport’s Washington Square on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pre-registration here for specified arrival times is encouraged, but not required. RI Biz Connection Networking Luncheon: RI Biz Connection Networking Luncheon is hosting speaker Matt McGuire, who will speak on "Remodeling Your Home for Now and the Future." Non-Profit Start Up workshop: This free Nonprofit Start-up Workshop is designed to help you understand the basics of starting your business and help you navigate through the legalities involved with launching your new organization. Teguo Daniel Djoyum MPH, a Nonprofit leader with a healthcare and project management background, will help educate on best practices for nonprofit start-ups, key issues in governance for nonprofits, how to maintain your tax exemption, how to File for 501(c)(3) Status and strategies for nonprofit fundraising. Holiday Networking Event: You're bound to make new contacts. Bring some colleagues, friends, or come alone. We are happy to introduce you to other guests. Simply let us know what type of industry professionals you would like to meet and we will make the introductions for you. All industries are welcome - because let's face it, you never know where your next 'client' or from whom 'your next referral' may come. Pre-Registration is recommended and tickets for the event are $15 in advance and $25 at the door (cash only day of event). No speeches, sales pitches or presentations.
