Minority Small Business Roundtable Event with Gov. Dan McKee: This Minority Small Business Roundtable will give Gov. McKee an opportunity to discuss with the Minority Small Business Community about several policies and measures aimed at improving the local Small Business Ecosystem such as the Minority Small Business Support Initiative, the upcoming Creation of a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), workforce & talent development for high growth industries, improving business assistance to small businesses and creating an equitable economy. The Future of Ocean Sensors: Join the Blue Venture Forum for a panel discussion about leading edge innovations, challenges, and opportunities in oceanographic sensor development. During this year's Blue Innovation Symposium we had a lively discussion about the future of sensing and this panel will expand on that topic. RI Business Connections June 2022 Monthly Luncheon: Great people, great venues, and great opportunities to grow your business! There is no event fee. Chelo's provides the room for free therefore attendees are required to purchase a lunch, and no coffee and a small salad are NOT lunch. Revolution Wind Open House: On Monday, June 13th, we will be hosting an Open House for community residents and stakeholders in Rhode Island to learn more about the project. Traditional Building Conference Series: Join us June 14-15 in historic Newport, Rhode Island, for a two day interactive symposium, at the Newport Art Museum, where you will learn from best-in-class experts and practitioners about historic preservation, adaptive use, urban infill, classical design, sustainable design, building restoration/maintenance and traditional craft. SEG Volunteer Appreciation Celebration at Roger Williams Park: SEG skills-based volunteers help our motivated and passionate social entrepreneurs move their ventures forward by offering assistance in a variety of areas, from business strategy and budgeting to marketing and social media. They teach SEG workshops, host one-on-one advising sessions, serve as dedicated coaches for entrepreneurs, and so much more. It’s time to say thank you! 2022 New England Regional SACNAS Meeting: The 2022 New England Regional SACNAS Meeting is free and open to the public. The conference serves as a professional development and networking opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, post-baccalaureate students, post-doctoral researchers, staff, and faculty in all STEM disciplines in the New England area. The program will include keynote addresses by Dr. Kristy Red-Horse, Ph.D. and Dr. Omolola (Lola) Eniola-Adefeso, Ph.D., oral and poster presentations, professional development workshops and a graduate school and career fair.
