Professional Women Of New England — Hello Spring!: Join this group of female business leaders for an afternoon of networking. Featuring a spotlight on solar from Kathryn Ford Richter, the CEO and founder of The Solar RN. This free event starts at 2:30 p.m. at The Guild, 461 Main St., Pawtucket. Minority Small Business Roundtable with Gov. McKee: This Minority Small Business Roundtable will give Gov. McKee an opportunity to discuss several policies and measures aimed at improving the local small business ecosystem. Many of these initiatives to serve historically disadvantaged groups and marginalized communities are captured in the RI 2030 Plan. This free event starts at 5 p.m. at 120 High St., Pawtucket.

Deep Dive Workshop — The First Steps to Funding your Business: In this workshop you will learn how to successfully apply for small business financing. Learn about options for loans and credit and what you need to have ready and who you need to talk with. We will also learn about the best ways to use these financial tools to establish and grow your business. This event is free and starts at 5 p.m. at HarborOne Bank, 180 Washington St., Providence.

Using Commodities to Protect Against Inflation: Join Matthew Schwab, head of investor solutions at Quantix Commodities, as he talks about using commodities to protect against inflation. Schwab has 25 years of experience in the commodity markets. Prior to joining Quantix, he was a managing director and co-head of research, portfolio management and portfolio construction at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. This talk is free and will kick off at 12 p.m. at Iron Works, 697 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick.

Business is Blooming Launch Event: Celebrate the official launch of THE DEN — a media playground for women. This event is a special evening to spotlight and bring women in business within the community together to inspire, connect and expand your networks. Enjoy fresh plant-based bites, crafted cocktails by the creators of BĀS, floral installation photo-ops and an intimate panel discussion featuring THE DEN's board of directors. A ticket to this event costs $100. It will take place at 6 p.m. at 245 Main St., Pawtucket.

BlueTech Innovation Series: In an effort to support the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region, the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Innovate Newport to offer a six-session BlueTech Innovation Series. During this spring 2022, the BlueTech Innovation Series brings together Rhode Island’s leading startup companies focused on blue technologies to network and showcase their technologies. Each week, a different company will showcase their work, with time to network following their presentation. This week features V2 Subsea, a technology solutions provider focused on bridging the gap between technology and the realities of working on the water. Tickets to this event cost $10 and it starts at 4 p.m. at Innovate Newport, 513 Broadway, Newport.

April Networking at The George: An opportunity to meet new people, make great connections and get new business into the pipeline. Bring some colleagues, friends or come alone. The organizing staff is happy to personally introduce you to some of the attendees. Simply tell them what type of industry professionals you would like to meet and they will make the introductions for you. Tickets cost $15 and the event starts at 5:30 p.m. at The George on Washington St., 121 Washington St., Providence.

Rhode Island Pitch Competition: Do you have an idea for a business that you want to test out? RI-Pitch is a great way to tell the world about your innovative idea and get real feedback from experienced community members. Three prizes will be awarded: First place,$500; second place, $250; and third place, $250. This free event starts at 6 p.m. at College of Pharmacy, 7 Greenhouse Rd., South Kingstown.
