TEDxBrownU Spring 2022 Conference (Detours): What detours have you taken in your life? Where have they led you? What have you discovered while venturing off the beaten path? This conference will explore the theme Detours from various fields of study. For more information about the speakers or to register, visit tedxbrownu.com. Tickets are free for all members of Brown and RISD's community. If you are located outside of the Providence area and cannot join in-person, the event will also have a livestream option. Innovation in Offshore Wind – Startup Showcase: Startups are developing solutions to an array of challenges in the offshore wind sector and can play a key role in building an effective, competitive, and responsible industry on the East Coast. The purpose of this innovation showcase is to give visibility to novel solutions and make it easier for startups and corporate offshore wind stakeholders to connect. Navy Prize Challenge – Autonomous Detection of Marine Mammals: The U.S. Navy, as part of its commitment to train, test and operate worldwide in an environmentally responsible manner, is seeking innovative solutions to enhance real-time detection of killer whales, right whales or both in high vessel traffic areas. This event is an information session to learn more about the goals and requirements of this challenge. This free event will take place at 401 Tech Bridge at 1170 East Main Rd., Portsmouth, RI 02871.

Taxes for Artists, Freelancers and Creative Businesses: Anxiety around money and taxes are serious setbacks for any artist working toward financial stability and independence. Join What Cheer Writers Club for an online financial empowerment workshop for creatives. Learn how to get organized, what you need to file taxes and which tools and habits can help free up more time for your creative pursuits. Event starts at 7 p.m. online. Register here

74th ASCLS-CNE Clinical Laboratory Science Convention: This two-day event for laboratory professionals covers multiple disciplines of laboratory science along with networking opportunities. The annual vendor reception will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Please visit here for more information. Bryant University Northeast Entrepreneurship Conference: The 11th Annual Bryant University Northeast Entrepreneurship Conference is designed by Bryant students for anyone that shares a love for the entrepreneurial spirit. This conference is globally known as a part of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) which has over 20,000 active members.
