Today, Millennial RI announced a lineup of new events catered to bolstering its young, professional Rhode Island audience.

The nonprofit organization also disclosed that Providence-based creative agency Luminous had redesigned its website to help "better connect with interested members and millennials about upcoming opportunities to connect and engage in events, projects and opportunities to thrive in Rhode Island," according to a press release.

"In 2018, we've decided to take intentional steps to address millennials' engagement with the Rhode Island economy," Millennial RI executive director Aiyah Josiah-Faeduwor said in the release. "With our new event series, we're addressing personal and professional development, allowing millennials to be more marketable, engaging local businesses to encourage millennial patronage, and providing resources for millennials to be more financially capable so they can invest here in Rhode Island."

Coastway Community Bank will partner with the group for a financial empowerment event series, with workshops on home ownership and access to capital. An additional "Adulting 101" series will welcome cover topics like "finding your voice" and career advancement. A host of different guest speakers representing organizations like Brown University's CareerLAB and the Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health will headline these events.

Millennial RI also unveiled the dates for the fourth iteration of its flagship celebration, #ChooseRI, which will occur on March 29 at Hotel Providence.
