Six Washington County startups made the cut for the Westside Pitch competition.

The event is organized by the entrepreneur resource group TIE Oregon and is slated for April 3. Founders will pitch before an audience and a panel of judges will pick a winner. Winners will receive investment from TIE Oregon Angels and a state-backed startup fund.

“We are thrilled to unveil the exceptional finalists for this year's Westside Pitch,” said Donn Dimond, President of TIE Oregon, in a written statement. “Each startup represents the spirit of innovation and determination that defines the community. We can't wait to see their pitches and witness the next big idea come to life.”

Startups are pitching in two categories: pre-seed and seed.

Here are the pre-seed finalists:

Here are the seed finalists:

  • D.Sole is developing sensors and an app that can be used to detect and monitor diabetic foot complications.
  • Rising Wines Collective is wine club that connects consumers to small production wines from Washington, California and Oregon.
  • Stirra is developing software for companies to manage employee leave.

The Westside Pitch competition is the first of three events designed to take the place of what was previously one Pitch Oregon event. Each event will focus on startups in a specific county.

The next two will be an event in Clackamas County and an event covering Multnomah/Clark counties.
