Execs at All Raise, Equilibrium Impact Ventures join OEN board

Oregon Entrepreneurs Network named two new board members and new board leadership for 2024.

The two new members are both in the world of investment and specifically investing in BIPOC founders and investors. Paige Hendrix Buckners, CEO of All Raise, and Kasem Rodriguez Mohsen, founding partner at Equilibrium Impact Ventures, are both joining the board.

The group kept the new membership this year small on purpose with an intentional recruitment process “to ensure the relatively small number of additional directors bring diverse skills and perspectives,” according to written statement.

OEN has 14 returning board members. For 2024, the board chair is returning member Michael Goetz, assistant director at commercial real estate adviser Newmark. The 2024 vice chair is returning member Scé Pike, a serial entrepreneur who has sold businesses and is now an investor and adviser.

“The OEN Board of Directors was really active as a working board in 2023 and it is exciting that many of the directors are committed to supporting the organization for another year,” said Turano, in a written statement. “The new directors bring a breadth of perspective as both entrepreneurs and investors that help OEN best serve the region's entrepreneurs.”

Immediate-past chair attorney Mary Hull remains on the board.

OEN supports entrepreneurs across the state and runs several Angel Oregon events that offer founders education and access to investors. The group also hosts monthly events called PubTalks that bring the community together.

This year the group will have an office for the first time in several years by taking a few desks in the office of Portland Metro Chamber. Turano said she hoped the group can host events in its new building and help bring people to downtown Portland.
