Beaverton computer maker CTL is expanding its footprint in the Pacific Northwest and adding to its executive team to close out 2023.
The company is opening a new office in Seattle where its new Vice President of Marketing Michelle Manson will be based. At the same time, former Vice President of Marketing Mike Mahanay is shifting to vice president of business development and government affairs.
In addition to its Beaverton headquarters the company also has offices in Europe and Asia.
CTL is a Google Chromebook manufacturer. It supplies equipment largely to K-12 schools. The business has grown steadily since 2013 when the Chromebook strategy was implemented.
Earlier this year, CEO Erik Stromquist outlined his plan to move even deeper into the Google Chrome ecosystem. This means the company is moving into supplying equipment for customers like corporate conference rooms.
Last year, CTL had revenue of $90.75 million. The company has 60 employees with 50 based in Beaverton and 10 internationally. Mahanay will be based in Beaverton.
"I am thrilled to take on this exciting new role at CTL," said Mahanay in a written statement. "By leveraging my business development skills and expanding the scope of my responsibilities, I'll be able to focus on key opportunities to rapidly grow the company's market share and revenue."
Most recently Manson was director of brand and corporate communications for Keysight Technologies. Before that she was director of global marketing, services and support for Beaverton-based Tektronix. Her career also includes a stint at Sagetech Avionics, another portfolio company of CTL-backer Columbia River Partners.
"Michelle's appointment as vice president of marketing aligns perfectly with CTL's vision for the future," Stromquist said in a written statement. "She previously drove growth at our sister company, Sagetech, and we believe that her strategic insights and leadership will play a crucial role in driving our marketing initiatives forward."
