Carta Healthcare, which provides AI-powered medical data management, has appointed Brent Dover as CEO, succeeding founder Matt Hollingsworth, who will remain a member of the board.
“While his expertise in scaling health tech companies is impressive, what stands out most is Brent's authentic dedication to our mission and his confidence in what we will be able to achieve together,” Hollingsworth said in a Wednesday announcement about the changes.
Dover has led several health care data companies through rapid growth. He most recently served as CEO at Kalderos and before that at Commure, which reached a $3.5 billion valuation on his watch. He also served as president of Health Catalyst, now a publicly traded company (Nasdaq: HCAT) and president of Medcity, which sold to Aetna in 2011.
Carta this year increased its revenue threefold and expanded its health care system customers by 50%. It closed on a $25 million funding round, and the company also expanded its product offerings. The Business Journal also gave Carta a Health Care of the Future Innovation Award earlier this year.
Hollingsworth, who is based in Portland, founded Carta Healthcare in 2017 to help health care providers better manage patient medical data.
Dover will be based in Salt Lake City.
