OEN names new board members, Mary Hull remains chair

Oregon Entrepreneurs Network named seven new board members for 2023 as the group settles in under new Executive Director Cara Turano.

The new board members will hold two-year terms. Here are the new members:

Returning board member Mary Hull will serve as board chair. The other returning members are Claire Brown, Dave Hansen, Deepthi Madhava, Beth Nguyen, Ciara Pressler, Deepa Seshan and John Williams.

“This is a really engaged and dynamic class of board members representing founders, investors and the business providers that combine to make a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Turano, who joined OEN in September, in a written statement. “We are excited to have board members brining a wide variety of skills and perspectives to OEN plus representation from the mid-Willamette Valley as well as Central and Southern Oregon.”

OEN is one of the oldest entrepreneurial groups in the state. It works with founders on education and mentoring to scale their businesses. It also works with investors and would-be investors to get involved in local businesses.

Its angel investment programs include: Angel Oregon Tech, Angel Oregon Food and Angel Oregon Bioscience. It also holds the regular PubTalk series to bring together founders, investors and service providers.
