Oregon Entrepreneurs Network unveiled the finalists for its annual Entrepreneurship Awards program that honors founders and businesses from early stage to growth stage.
The accolades will be handed out Nov. 17 at a gala at the Portland Art Museum. Tickets are available online.
“We’re delighted to announce this year’s finalists and excited to honor their entrepreneurial successes during the past year,” said OEN Relationship Specialist Alex Gamboa Grand in a written statement. “A diverse panel of 31 esteemed judges from across the state who represent a wide array of industries and backgrounds reviewed more than 120 companies to arrive at these finalists.”
The awards are broken into five categories. Here’s the finalists for each:
Early Stage:
- Bold Reuse (formerly Go Box), is a reusable packaging platform for food service and enterprise companies. Co-founders Jocelyn Quarrell and Heather Watkins.
- Community Energy Labs, is an Internet of Things and software platform for smart energy management in commercial buildings. Founder Tanya Barham.
- Rock Paper Coin, a software platform to digitize payments and contract management for wedding and events industry. Founders Nora Sheils and Elizabeth Sheils.
Development Stage:
- Agility Robotics, developed a two-legged robot that is designed to move like a human for logistics and warehouse work. Founders Damion Shelton and Jonathan Hurst.
- HelloCare, provides in-home care for seniors who need help but want to age in place. Founder Helen Anderson.
- TrovaTrip, a travel management platform for content creators to book trips with their audience. Founders: Nick Poggi, Lauren Schneider and Brandon Denham.
Growth Stage:
- PayRange, created a device and software to retrofit coin-operated machines to accept mobile payments. Founder Paresh Patel.
- Pinnacle Pro Logistics, a third-party trucking logistics company. Founders Alex Moehlman and Jeff Sobel.
- RFPIO, a software platform to manage RFP and other business inquiry responses. Founders: Ganesh Shankar, AJ Sunder and Sankar Lagudu.
Exponential award:
- Community Energy Lab
- Slumberkins, which created a line of characters, through books and plush toys, for children's early emotional learning. Founders Kelly Oriard and Callie Christensen.
- ToolBelt, a marketplace connecting homebuilders and general contractors with skilled labor. Founders Josh Engelbrecht and Ross Barbieri.
Entrepreneurial Achievement:
- Anna Madill, CEO of Avenue a digital marketing agency.
- Sce Pike, founder and CEO of Iotas, a smart home platform designed for multifamily units.
- Kelly Oriard and Callie Christensen, founders of Slumberkins.
