Lake Oswego risk and compliance software maker Navex Global named a former SAP executive to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer.
Sean Thompson was named to the role and the company’s board of directors. He will oversee go-to-market planning and execution as well as support customer success, product innovation and operations.
“Sean has a tremendously successful track record for scaling enterprise software and SaaS businesses across a range of disciplines including sales, services, partnerships and product,” said Navex CEO Bob Conlin in a written statement. “We’re excited to have him join our team as we continue to accelerate growth and expand into new markets and geographies.”
Thompson was most recently executive vice president and general manager of SAP Procurement Network and Ecosystem. He was SAP for five years. Prior to that he was co-founder and CEO of Nuiku Inc., a natural language processing and artificial intelligence company that was sold to Nortek Inc. He also spent 10 years at Microsoft.
Navex has about 1,300 employees globally. The company makes ethics, compliance and risk management software. Last year it added environmental, social and governance software to its suite. The company is an active acquirer and it is consistently hiring. It has dozens of job openings across its footprint.
